France Telecom SA on Thursday posted first-half revenue growth of 9.3 percent and said its ongoing cost-cutting plan meant it would reach its year-end cashflow targets. The French telecommunications giant said first-half revenue was euro25.86 billion ($32.55 billion), up from euro23.67 billion in 2005. However the figures were inflated by the acquisition of Amena, a mobile operator in Spain. On a comparable basis, the rise was 1.4 percent. "We're confident in our ability to generate organic cash flow of euro7 billion ($8.8 billion) in 2006 thanks to cost reduction programs and optimized investments," Chairman and Chief Executive Didier Lombard said.
